In this very special episode of A Trouble with Words, we discuss the two films released so far in the JJ Abrams reboot of Star Trek, taking the time to dig into what makes them such a different take on the franchise, and discussing what we liked and what we didn’t. Then we talk about our experience playing co-op through the recent “movie tie-in game” and explain why it almost ended our friendship. It’s a tragedy that needs to be shared with the world.
Thanks again for continuing to listen to the podcast! If you like it, then tell everyone you know to listen. The more listeners we have, the more piles of wet stinky money we make. Sounds good to me. Tell them it cures all sickness and will make them taller. Lie to them. Threaten their well being with a candlestick or noose. Do whatever it takes and we will reward you with more episodes.
May the force be with you.

As much as we joke about it, I think it’s important for you to know that we make, and have made, zero dollars on this podcast. It’s 100% free to download and listen to, we’re not ad supported, we’re not trying to sell you anything. Anything, but our love, that is. That’s all we really want: your love and acceptance; the love and acceptance we’ve been denied in almost every other avenue of our lives. We’re not doing this for fun. We’re doing this because without you listening, we would literally wither and die like a summertime flower denied access to life-giving sun and water. The photosynthesis metaphor is a good one – with every download, every iTunes or Stitcher review, or even just a like on Facebook, each of our cold, desiccated, shrunken little hearts beats just a little bit stronger for just a second, and we can feel, for that one fraction of a second, once again connected to the human race that has forsaken us.
Also, Jean Luc Picard for life!
