The first rule of the Electronic Entertainment Expo is do not alienate your customers. The second rule probably has something to do with booth babes so we’ll ignore it for now. Basically, in what can only be described as an all out bare knuckle slugfest Microsoft got its ass handed to it by Sony. It was brutal. Never before has there been such an all out domination of one company over another at an E3. Sony saw an opportunity with how poorly Microsoft had been communicating with consumers and how enraged their fan-base was becoming and they pounced. It was glorious and it was the decision that single-handedly changed this coming generation of gaming. Seriously this is one for the record books.
With that said, it’s important to note that we still don’t know everything about the Xbox One or Playstation 4. Really, until either console has been released all we have to go on is what’s been said. Drastic changes have already happened since E3 and more are almost certain to come. Point being you might want to hold off on pre-ordering anything until the reviews are in and the systems are actually being sold. Not that any of us can afford these prices.
This marks our third episode to have a video version but again it’s mostly out of necessity. I did make some changes over the last one to make it more visually interesting and it’s worth mentioning I wanted to add footage over certain areas that showed what we were discussing but I really just didn’t have the time. Also on that note I apologize again for the audio quality on Justin’s side. It’s a technical issue related to Skype and our equipment. We’ve been able to improve it some since last episode but still there’s much to be desired. We’ll only get better at this whole thing as time goes on so please keep tuning in. See you next time!

I can’t wait to get back to recording in person. This Skype stuff is for the birds… Birds who are extremely grateful to have this backup tool that enables us to record a podcast twice a month when scheduling conspires to keep us down. We briefly tried a Google Hangout instead, but Josh’s iWhatever wouldn’t cooperate – honestly I don’t think the quality would have improved, as I was recording from the built-in camera/mic in my Toshiba Thrive, an Android tablet. Next time we have to do this, I’m just going to record audio separately on my laptop and let Josh synch it up to the video afterwards.
I hope you enjoy the show, and though it’s been an interesting couple of months, I hope it’s the last we need to say about the new consoles for a little while. You know, so we can go back to talking about video games and movies and television…
