A Happy Podcastober to all of you! Such an exciting time of year filled with horror movies and fun for all! If you’re a regular listener you’re probably already familiar with this odd but fun tradition, and if you’re new to the show then you also have a lot to be excited about. This is without a doubt my favorite episode that we put out. I just love the whole thing.
So what is it? Well we both pick a weird campy non-traditional horror movie and then we watch them back to back together. The episode is us breaking them down for you in great detail. You’re welcome.
Seriously though it’s great and you should tell your friends about it.
It’s spooky time here at A Trouble with Words! Podcastober has arrived, just like it does every year, and we’re ready to chinwag about a couple of scary (this is a stretch, even for me, the scarediest of cats) movies! It’s a fun time and one of my favorite ATWW traditions! Enjoy
Despite what Justin might say this is not our last episode. We will never stop. Much like in the show Altered Carbon we will find a way to live forever. Even after our bodies have given in to obesity and old age we will continue on. Creating constantly for you is our only concern.
Speaking of Altered Carbon we talk about it in this episode. What a weird coincidence.
See you next time for Podcastober!
Hello from the other side!
We’re back, and we’re in just under the deadline!
We’re so frickin good at this.
This episode we have a friendly chat about the Netflix Original Series, Altered Carbon.
If you haven’t seen it, ya should. But good news! We’re spoiler free on this one! Mostly. Like, 99% spoiler free. I think you’ll be fine with it.
Anyway, next ep: Podcastober!
Things get a little heated in this one. We play the new Gambit mode in Destiny 2 Forsaken and discuss the hearing for the new Supreme Court judge involving sexual assault. It’s both a good time and the ramblings of two men driven to insanity. I recommend you give it a listen.
Also we miss Movie Pass.
Oh and I’m sorry about being a day late. We had this ready to go but I had some issues that delayed the posting of it on time. Not something you should expect in the future as we take our deadline very seriously and only fall short when we have to. As always, thanks for tuning in and we’ll see you next time!
Hello Guardian, and welcome to another edition of our show-within-a-show, Stream of Consciousness! This time, we’re playing Destiny 2’s new game mode, Gambit, and talking current events! It’s a good time, you should watch it! Or listen to it. You know, whatever, consume it in some fashion.
This podcast is a lot like a Sack of Mystery from one of my favorite shows. Whenever we put money into it, it mysteriously disappears. Speaking of great mysteries I highly recommend you watch said show because it’s great and so are you. It’s called Gravity Falls and it’s filled with all the things everyone loves. We do get into a few spoilers though so listen up to that point, go watch the show and then come back here to finish. Don’t worry we give you a clear warning before that happens.
Also Claire was on this episode and she killed it! Yay for that! Please do all the social media stuff and help us grow. See you next time!
Hello friends and enemies,
Welcome to our most recent episode! It’s a pretty fun one, if I do say so myself. My daughter, Claire, who is now 10, joins us to talk about her favorite show Gravity Falls, and then sticks around for some pretty great improv. I want to be crystal clear – she came up with her own characters and details with no coaching from either of us. She’s a natural improvisor!
I hope you enjoy the episode, and we’ll see you next time!
Some people are saying that we’re a day late posting a new episode. We here at A Trouble with Words refuse to comment on rumors or unsubstantiated accusations. Therefore we will at no point be discussing how we just kind of lost track and how you should really give us a pass this time.
Tell you what we will comment on though. How great this show is, how we’re trying out a new segment about board games called Game Night, and how we think you’ll like it. Tabletop gaming is very important to Justin, and I certainly like it enough that we should be talking about it more. This will allow us that opportunity on a more regular basis if we want. Isn’t podcasting fun?
It’s an A Trouble with Words Game Night!
This is the first part of what I hope will become a recurring series of episodes focused on boardgames. Maybe they won’t pop up as much as television shows, movies, or video games, but I love board games a whole lot and it seems a shame not to talk about them every now and then then. And if board games aren’t your thing, don’t worry – we stay on topic about as well as we ever do, so there’s plenty of the usual tangents and offshoots.
See you next time!
